BBC One will air the premiere of Mary Berry's Highland Christmas at 9pm.

The celebrity chef expressed that she felt extremely comfortable filming in the Highlands and other parts of Scotland. She showcased her unique take on holiday recipes with a Scottish touch.

In the 60-minute special, Mary successfully includes a variety of fun holiday activities. She serves warm spiced wine to dancers while hosting a ceilidh event. She also crafts an impressive wreath and joins comedian Iain Stirling to watch reindeer in the wild.

During an interview with the BBC earlier this month, Mary was questioned about her experience filming in the Scottish Highlands. She was asked whether or not she had found it enjoyable.

"I've absolutely adored it," she exclaimed. "We've embarked on some truly incredible journeys across numerous regions within Scotland and deep into the Highlands."

The weather here is quite chilly at the moment, but the locals in Scotland are used to it and know how to dress accordingly. Personally, I have made sure to bundle up warmly before heading outside, and have found pleasure in spending time outdoors nonetheless.

In Scotland, people have a mentality of being proactive and embracing the breathtaking landscape. The view has been awe-inspiring with clear skies and chilly temperatures, but it has been thoroughly enjoyable for us.

Mary Berry's Festive Feast In Scottish Highlands

Mary went to the Cromlix Hotel in Dunblane, which belongs to Andy Murray. This hotel will also be included in tonight's episode.

Andy, the tennis player, and his grandmother, Shirley Erskine, are responsible for creating all the delicious shortbread served at the hotel. Together, they teamed up with Mary to prepare a delightful Christmas Eve meal in the kitchen.

According to Mary, she and Shirley ensured that Andy behaved appropriately and instructed him on preparing a delicious smoked haddock kedgeree dish.

Mary teamed up with singer Emeli Sande to make her traditional Buche de Noel for the holiday special. Emeli, who usually performs on stage, traded in her microphone for a mixing bowl to cook alongside Mary.

The singer from Alford tried her hand at various activities, even attempting to play the bagpipes to decorate.

Filming on the West Highland Line's Jacobite steam locomotive was a particularly memorable experience for Mary.

During an interview with the BBC, Mary mentioned that she had never been on a train before. She also noted that the train was jam-packed with individuals, much like herself, who were eager to witness the beauty of the Scottish landscape.

The experience was delightful, as everyone was thrilled about it, especially given the rarity of a steam train. This moment was truly special, as the sunlight illuminated my train car and the scenery was absolutely stunning. It's moments like these that are unforgettable and unique.

"When we got there, we were welcomed by a piper, which was really nice."

The broadcast of Mary Berry's Highland Christmas will be available for viewing tonight at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
