The UK's favorite finance expert has shared an important alert for all Tesco Clubcard users. If you enjoy saving a bit on your grocery bills, you'll want to pay attention.

On November 30 at 11:59 PM, £18 million in Tesco Clubcard vouchers will expire. The supermarket is encouraging its customers to redeem their reward points before time runs out.

Don’t worry! MSE has provided detailed information on how to find out when your items will expire and how to extend their validity if you can’t use them before the deadline.

Here’s all the information you need.

How To Turn Tesco Clubcard Points Into Vouchers

You can use your Clubcard points for more than just your grocery shopping. By turning them into a voucher, you can enjoy a variety of experiences at different places, including restaurants and amusement parks.

To obtain a voucher, you must have at least 150 points. You can check your points by logging into the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or by going to the 'My Clubcard account' section on the Tesco website at tesco.com.

Then, click the button to convert your Clubcard points into vouchers. Hit 'request vouchers,' and just like that, they'll show up in your Clubcard account in no time—almost as if by magic!

Extending Tesco Clubcard Vouchers: Deadline Tips

According to MSE, Tesco Clubcard vouchers have a validity period of two years from when they are issued. However, there's a clever method to push the expiration date back by another two years.

According to the terms and conditions of the Clubcard, Tesco has the right to decline a Reward Partner order if they believe you're trying to exploit the system by using vouchers solely to prolong their expiration date. However, a recent experiment conducted at MoneySavingExpert.com confirmed that the method worked without any issues.

The upcoming cutoff for extending your vouchers is 11:59 PM on Saturday, November 30. You can achieve this by making a purchase on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page or by contributing to one of their charity partners.

The leftover amount will be returned to your Clubcard account in the form of points. For example, if you use a £5 Clubcard voucher to pay for something that costs 50p, you will receive 450 points back, which equals £4.50, as MSE explains.

You have the option to exchange your points for vouchers right away, or you can choose to have them converted automatically when you receive your next statement. The vouchers you receive will be valid for two years from the date they are issued.

It's important to highlight that although there isn't a required minimum spending amount, MSE recommends trying to keep your expenses as low as you can. Opting for a 50p restaurant voucher that can be used for £1 at a restaurant you prefer might be a great option.

If you want to extend the time you have to use your vouchers, you’ll need to repeat this process for each one in your account. It’s a good idea to calculate your options beforehand.

Basically, if you have a £10 voucher, dealing with it could be worthwhile, and it might be simpler just to use it. However, if you have several £1 vouchers, MoneySavingExpert suggests that it might not be worth the effort.
