Martin Lewis's financial advice platform has given a three-week alert to all Tesco Clubcard users, urging them not to overlook some great offers, as vouchers totaling millions of pounds are set to expire soon.
Customers are encouraged to take action as vouchers totaling £18 million will expire at the end of November. These cash discounts, which are obtained by accumulating points while shopping, remain valid for just two years from the date they are issued.
Tips from Money Saving Expert recommend that Tesco customers start by looking at the number of active Clubcard vouchers they possess. This can easily be checked through the Tesco Clubcard website or mobile app.
If you have a lot of vouchers to use, it's important to check their expiration dates and make sure to spend them before they run out. Additionally, money service experts suggest that you can enhance or extend the value of these vouchers by following the right procedures.
Customers at Tesco can potentially double the worth of their vouchers by using them with Tesco's "Reward Partners." This opportunity allows those holding numerous vouchers to enjoy savings on a wider range of products beyond just what the supermarket offers.
The Reward Partner scheme features various options like Pizza Express, fun day trips, railcards, and even a subscription to Disney+. Additionally, when you use vouchers through this scheme, they can be worth twice as much compared to using them at a Tesco store.
Money Saving Expert has revealed a little-known trick that allows you to extend your soon-to-expire vouchers for as long as two years.
You can easily achieve this by making a minor purchase or donating to charity (even just 50p) on the Tesco Clubcard Rewards page. Once you do this, the leftover amount from the voucher will be returned to your account.
This updated figure is expected to remain in effect for the next two years. However, experts caution that Tesco might attempt to eliminate this gap at any time without prior warning.
