Margot Robbie is said to have welcomed her first child, arriving two weeks earlier than expected, but everything is going smoothly.

An insider connected to Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley informed People magazine that the Barbie actress has welcomed a son.

The Mail on Sunday reports that the Australian actor went into labor two weeks ago, with a source informing the publication that "everything is fine."

The couple has not made a formal announcement about their baby's arrival, and they have also kept the child's name a secret.

Robbie's pregnancy was revealed in July, and soon after the announcement, she made a public appearance at Wimbledon.

She had on a comfortably loose polka-dot dress and sunglasses that hinted at her noticeable baby bump.

Robbie and Ackerly originally crossed paths in 2013 during the filming of Suite Francaise, a romantic drama set during World War II, in Belgium. At that point, Robbie was just beginning to gain recognition in the acting world, while Ackerly held the role of assistant director for the film.

A year later, they founded a production company named LuckyChap, which has since produced blockbuster films like Birds of Prey and Barbie, both featuring Robbie in the main role.

Both individuals are recognized for their tendency to safeguard their personal lives. They never made their engagement public and tied the knot in a discreet ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia.

In an interview with Vogue in May 2016, the Suicide Squad star revealed that her romance with "the most attractive guy in London" took her by surprise.

"I was the quintessential independent woman. The thought of being in a relationship made me feel nauseous," she shared. "Then, out of nowhere, it happened. We had been friends for such a long time. I realized I've always had feelings for him."

Robbie went on to say, “I kept thinking, ‘There’s no way he’d ever feel the same way about me. Don’t ruin things, Margot. Don’t be foolish and admit that you have feelings for him.’ Then, it actually happened, and I realized, ‘Naturally, we’re a couple. This just fits so perfectly, in a way that nothing ever has before.’”

Robbie has expressed her frustration over being repeatedly questioned in interviews about when she plans to have kids.

"It infuriated me; who is this older man to tell me what I can and cannot do regarding my role as a mother or my own body?" she expressed in an interview with Radio Times in 2019.

"Regrettably, this is a discussion we continue to engage in."

“I’m really frustrated with this expectation society has,” she continued. “Once you're married, you're just supposed to have kids. Don’t take it for granted. I’ll make my own choices.”
