Rashford explains how Amorim tactics will surprise Arsenal in showdown
On Sunday, United delivered a resounding 4-0 victory over Everton, marking a stylish debut league win for new manager Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. Rashford netted two goals, while teammate Joshua Zirkzee, who has also faced scrutiny, added another pair, much to the delight of the home supporters.
It was a convincing win, unlike anything witnessed in Erik ten Hag's two-plus seasons, and Rashford thinks it highlights the progress Amorim has already achieved.
"It's exciting for us to discover new things, and I believe we can really improve within this system too," he shared with MUTV.
We haven't used this system in our games before, so no one really knows what to anticipate from us, which actually gives us an advantage.
Additionally, for the opposing teams, we haven’t utilized this system in previous matches, which means they are unsure of what to anticipate from us. This gives us a strategic advantage. We have a variety of players capable of filling different roles, allowing us to adapt our approach and formations throughout the game.
"It's thrilling! I don't want to go overboard, but this is the kind of energy and enthusiasm we are looking for."
He shared with Sky Sports: "It's still early, but I feel energized and prepared for the upcoming match against Arsenal. The previous game has just ended, but players always have their sights set on the next one."
Rashford realizes that we're still in the early stages of Amorim's leadership and acknowledges that there's a lot of room for growth. However, he has been pleasantly surprised by how much the Portuguese manager has influenced the team in just three matches.
