Marcus Rashford's absence from Manchester United an 'internal matter', says Ten Hag
Erik ten Hag has stated that Marcus Rashford's nonappearance in Manchester United's team is a matter that belongs within the club itself. As rumors about the striker continue to emerge.
The football player who is 26 years old was not included in the squad of Ten Hag during their match against Newport County last Sunday. This happened because three days before the game, someone claimed to have seen him at a bar in Belfast.
The manager of Manchester United stated that Rashford had informed him of feeling unwell on the day before the FA Cup game, causing him to be unable to participate.
He stated that the remaining part is a matter within the organization and that he will personally handle it along with the team.
When Ten Hag joined the team in 2022, he noted that the culture was subpar and has since endeavored to address concerns related to disciplinary matters while at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag was asked on Sunday if Rashford represented the "bad culture", but he did not respond.
"I won't participate in this matter," he expressed. "We already discussed this topic, had a fruitful game, and it's time to shift our focus elsewhere."
Jadon Sancho, who is currently on loan to Borussia Dortmund, did not take part in any matches for Man United after he claimed that he was being unfairly blamed for their poor performance by Ten Hag on 3 September.
Alan Shearer, a former striker for Newcastle United, commented on Match of the Day after Ten Hag's post-match interview. He stated that Rashford should not squander his natural abilities.
He expressed that Marcus Rashford possesses immense skills. Last season, he demonstrated discipline by being punished for being tardy to a meeting and subsequently didn't play a game.
There appears to be an issue either with his domestic situation or his connection with the football team because he is consistently unable to continue with this behavior.
