Friday, November 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM
Who will you select as Manchester United's Player of the Month for November, sponsored by Tiger Beer?
The voting is now live, allowing you to choose from three standout nominees who have excelled during an undefeated month for the Reds, during which Ruben Amorim stepped in as the new head coach, taking over from interim leader Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Amad, Noussair Mazraoui, and Andre Onana each played key roles in our five matches and are in contention to be your choice for the winner. Be sure to cast your vote in the poll included in this article before it closes next Tuesday (December 3).
Here's a brief summary of the important moments from the shortlisted Reds to assist you in making your choice. Additionally, feel free to scroll down and participate in our live voting for Goal of the Month, where seven impressive goals are up for consideration.
AMAD: Five matches played, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
The winner for August is competing for another victory this season, after a remarkable month where he showcased his skills in both creating plays and scoring goals.
Amad scored both of United's goals in their 2-0 win against PAOK. He opened the scoring with a fantastic header that went over the goalkeeper and then followed it up with a beautiful curled shot for the second goal, which effectively secured the victory.
The player from Ivory Coast has set up goals for Bruno Fernandes in the match against Leicester with a clever flick, and for Marcus Rashford during the game at Ipswich, following an outstanding run. This performance allowed Rashford to make a strong initial impact in his new wing-back position under Amorim.
NOUSSAIR MAZRAOUI: Five matches played / one assist provided
Another player who has stood out in a new position since our head coach joined the team is Mazraoui. He has been positioned in a back three during the recent matches against Ipswich and Bodo/Glimt.
The summer recruit, who has begun his time in Manchester on a high note, played in three different roles in November. He delivered a standout performance at left-back against Chelsea, earning Man of the Match honors, and then played right-back, contributing to a clean sheet in the match against PAOK.
From an offensive perspective, the Moroccan player was a bit unlucky not to register an assist when Manchester United scored their second goal against Leicester, which was ultimately ruled as an own goal. His cross had reached Fernandes, and the attempt was redirected into the net by Leicester defender Victor Kristiansen. However, he did make a valuable contribution by setting up Rasmus Hojlund’s stunning volley in last night’s victory.
ANDRE ONANA: Played five matches and maintained two clean sheets.
Our top goalkeeper has had another outstanding month, consistently making appearances on our Player of the Month lists this season. He has been featured in each of the last three selections.
He secured the award for September and is now looking for your support once more. He has achieved impressive wins against PAOK and Leicester, bringing his total to six victories this season.
That being said, many would argue that his finest display occurred during a match where our defense was challenged – the 1-1 draw against Ipswich. In that game, he was chosen as the supporters’ Man of the Match due to his crucial contribution, which featured an incredible diving save to keep out Liam Delap from a short distance.
