DJ G2: United Representation Is Everything

When he's not performing on stage in Manchester, DJ G2 is still likely to bring high energy wherever he goes.
During the summer, we had a special photoshoot for our upcoming 2024/25 adidas home kit. The well-known DJ, who is a passionate United supporter and a Stretford native, brought a positive energy to the room with his captivating personality and smile as he confidently showcased our new clothing line.
G2 has established himself as a top DJ in our city and has had the opportunity to DJ for some big names, like Robin van Persie. During our shoot, we started a brief Q&A session with him by inquiring about his experience with the former football star.

We heard that you previously DJed for Robin van Persie, can you share that experience with us? "It was at the end of the night, my friends were amazed that he was there. They were too shy to approach him, so I called out to van Persie and asked him to take a picture with my boys. It was a really cool night." Your mom inspired you to become a Manchester United fan, how much influence does she have on you? "She is my everything, that's all I can say."
What does it mean to you to be here in Manchester, representing in the new kit, a city that holds a special place in your heart? "It means the world to me. It holds so much significance, from my childhood days of supporting United to now having the opportunity to work with the team. It's truly incredible."
Could you share with us how you got started with your music career and found the confidence to pursue being a young DJ? "I got my start at 16, at a club called M-Two. The energy of the crowd blew my mind, and I knew I had to be a part of it. The rest, as they say, is history."
Last question, we heard that you were really impressed by Serena and Venus Williams once - if there are any former or current United players who would make you feel the same way, who would they be? "Rooney. Wayne Rooney. I really want to meet Wayne Rooney. It has to happen!"
