This afternoon, Ruben Amorim will announce his initial starting lineup as the new head coach of Manchester United. The Portuguese manager is set to lead his squad to Portman Road to compete against Ipswich in his debut match at the helm.
The game begins at 4:30 PM, but it seems that Amorim has probably already chosen the players for his starting lineup. He officially took on the role of head coach for United at the beginning of the international break and has been leading training sessions for the past week.
During that week, players returning from international duty would gradually rejoin the team, eager to catch the attention of the new coach. Among them, wingers Antony and Amad had a bit more time to showcase their skills and make a strong impression on the head coach.

Antony has faced challenges in getting playing time this season, having appeared in only two matches in the Premier League. He did not make it off the bench during the 3-0 victory against Leicester before the international break. Prior to that, he was missing from the squad for the two previous matches.
The Brazilian has suggested that he is likely to be included in the squad for the upcoming match against Ipswich. He posted a video on his Instagram story leading up to the game.
Amad has been enjoying more consistent playing time lately and made a strong impression in his start against Leicester. The winger set up Bruno Fernandes for the first goal and completed the entire 90 minutes of the game.
Although he hasn’t posted a graphic before the match, the 22-year-old has been active on Instagram. On Saturday night, he shared a photo of the United team huddling together before the game, accompanied by a red and white heart and a bicep emoji, suggesting that he might be included in the lineup again this weekend.
One player from United who spent time representing his country is full-back Diogo Dalot. He participated in two matches for Portugal during the international break and has been a consistent presence for United this season, starting every one of the 11 league matches played so far.
He suggested that things aren’t likely to change this week. Similar to Antony, he shared a graphic teaser for the upcoming match against Ipswich on his Instagram story.
It's still unclear what role Dalot might take on. Amorim typically favors a 3-4-2-1 formation, which means Dalot could potentially work as a wing-back on either side.
