"I come from a working class family and I am not afraid of putting in the effort. Hard work has always been a part of my life and I embrace it."

In reference to her final performance series, she expressed, "As the month of November approaches, I will have attained the age of 75. People often ask if I plan to have a great celebration, but truthfully, I have already indulged in more celebrations than necessary. To mark this occasion, I am choosing to perform a select number of concerts. It was in the past year that I decided to retire from touring altogether."

Organizing a tour is a massive undertaking and I discovered that the dates I booked were very close to each other, which made it extremely challenging. However, taking the stage and performing is the enjoyable part, and it is what I thrive on.

Lulu also shared that she gave her tour the name Champagne for Lulu, inspired by a well-known scene from Absolutely Fabulous where Jennifer Saunders exclaims "champagne for Lulu!" for her.

Her statement was: "The focus of my entire year is going to revolve around Champagne for Lulu. It's going to be a commendation of my ability to survive at the remarkable age of 75. Can you believe it? I honestly thought I wouldn't be alive at this point!"

Lulu caused laughter among the hosts of the show, Lauren Laverne and Vernon Kay, as the episode came to an end. She exclaimed out loud, "Is that all there is? Are we finished? Can we go home now?"
