PDC World Championship 2024: Peter Wright beaten but Luke Littler, 16, wins on debut
Luke Littler, a 16-year-old participant, has qualified for round two of the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship. However, Peter Wright, a previous titleholder, was eliminated from the competition.
Littler, who was competing for the first time in the event, delivered a striking display as he defeated Dutch player Christian Kist with a score of 3-0 at Alexandra Palace.
Wright, who has won twice before, had a difficult time and lost the match against Jim Williams by a score of 3-0.
Littler from England expressed his joy over winning by saying, "I'm absolutely thrilled. It's amazing how easily I adapted to the game."
The adolescent shared on Sky Sports: "I felt a little uneasy as I stepped onto the field but once I got into the groove, I felt comfortable."

According to Smith, the game was not exceptional and his performance was far from his usual standards. Additionally, he mentioned getting stung by a wasp on stage after the match. Nevertheless, he looked forward to enjoying his turkey and pigs in blankets.
I attempted to generate some motivation, but it proved to be quite challenging. I've been feeling a bit anxious lately, like most people, as we're all eager to get things over with.
"I plan to unwind for the time being and anticipate feeling revitalized come Christmastime."
