The upcoming season of Love Island will start airing tonight on ITV. Viewers will get to know this year's set of Islanders, who will enter the villa and get acquainted with their fellow housemates.

As it has been in the past, the first episode of the show will have the male and female contestants paired together. In previous seasons, viewers decided who would be paired with whom. However, in tonight's episode, the contestants will be the ones who pick their partners, but they won't be informed about it beforehand.

There's more excitement in store for tonight, as Maya will make her comeback to the villa after a while and bring all the Islanders together around the fire pit.

"It's great to see that you have all made yourselves comfortable, but remember that you're on Love Island," she says to the group. "You should always be prepared for anything unforeseen."

As the inhabitants of the island express their surprise, spectators may need to watch the upcoming episode to discover what awaits them.
