The TV personality posted a brief clip on her social media account, presenting her grey bag to her over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, emphasizing its potential role in rescuing her life.

According to Thompson, the news wasn't a fancy revelation, but it wasn't a secret he wanted to conceal forever.

The individual who is 34 years of age initiated her blog post by composing: "HOW SHOULD I REVEAL THIS KIND OF UPDATE?"

Afterward, she expressed, "It's not particularly thrilling, such as a grand pregnancy or gender reveal declaration!"

Hey, check it out, I'm going to have a son! And also, check it out, I have a stoma! So, I suppose I'll just stand here feeling proud with my new accessory, the "le bum bag," which symbolizes life and hopefully a better future.

Thompson has ulcerative colitis, which is a long-term intestinal ailment that causes certain parts of the digestive tract to become enlarged, irritated, and ulcerated.

According to the NHS, it may be possible to use medication to treat this ailment. However, if the medication is unable to adequately manage the symptoms or if it significantly impairs a person's quality of life, a surgery to remove a part or all of the colon (bowel) can be considered as an option.

While undergoing a surgical procedure, the little intestine may be redirected through a particular opening in the abdominal area referred to as a stoma.

At the start of the year, Thompson provided a status report on her health issues and showed her appreciation to the NHS and healthcare workers for their aid.
