The artist brought together a large crowd at the festival campsite to watch England play against Slovakia and emerge victorious.

The UK values its music festivals greatly, but supporting their team in a football match is even more important. During the weekend, the Glastonbury Festival coincided with England's important match against Slovakia in the Euro 2024 tournament. This game would decide whether England would advance to the quarter-finals. The festival did not have plans to show the match, but Louis Tomlinson came to the rescue by bringing a flat-screen TV into the campground so fans could watch together.

The singer's sibling Lottie Tomlinson posted a quick video of their festival experience on TikTok, saying: "We took a TV to Glasto to see the England game." In the video, amidst overcast skies, Tomlinson and his friends brought in the TV, two buckets of rocks, and an England football flag. There is also a part where many people are seated on the ground around the TV, with others standing behind them — at first watching eagerly as the game reached extra time, then cheering and dancing in excitement after England's victory.

"It was a bit challenging at times because the signal was coming and going," Tomlinson shared with BBC, who praised him as "the hero of this festival" during an interview at the event. "Thankfully, we were successful. We made it happen. I am overjoyed."

In another interview with the Guardian, Tomlinson disclosed that the TV he brought to the festival was actually his second one. He explained that the first one had been damaged. Tomlinson originally didn't want to admit it but is now taking credit for bringing the TV since the game is now tied.

Tomlinson went to the Glastonbury Festival this year as a spectator, not as a participant. Many popular artists like Coldplay, Dua Lipa, SZA, Shania Twain, LCD Soundsystem, Disclosure, the National, Burna Boy, and others gave big performances throughout the weekend.
