Louis Tomlinson brought TV to Glastonbury for fans to watch England game

For soccer enthusiasts at Glastonbury this weekend, the England team's game against Slovakia in the last-16 round caused a dilemma. The match was at 5pm yesterday, but the event planners decided not to show it on the festival grounds.

Following Shania Twain's iconic performance, many football fans went to find sheltered areas to watch the game through low-quality livestreams. But near the Pyramid stage, former boyband member Louis Tomlinson hosted a last-minute gathering to watch the game.

The ex-member of One Direction supposedly left the festival grounds earlier that day to buy a big TV, a generator, and an internet dongle from Argos. He explained to the Guardian that he had planned to set up the TV backstage but had to explore the campsites due to poor Wi-Fi.

Tomlinson watched the game with many people at the festival. He was sitting at the front wearing an old England jacket, but not everyone saw him at first because of the large crowd. Some people didn't even realize he was the boy band singer behind the event.

After discussing with Tomlinson about the screening, the team in charge of crowd safety were concerned that it might block the main path between the Pyramid and Silver Hayes. However, a solution was found, and the viewing area was relocated to a spot next to a campsite.

After the game ended, the crowd at the festival went crazy – one excited supporter even lit a flare.
