England bowler Ollie Robinson had a match he would rather forget as the Leicestershire batsman delivered an outstanding performance for the history books.

Kimber not only smashed 43 runs off Robinson, setting a new record for the highest number of runs scored in a single over, but he also achieved the fastest double century from just 100 balls faced and hit the most sixes in an inning with 21.

Even though the 27-year-old player gave an outstanding performance, Leicestershire lost by 18 runs to Sussex.

Excitement sparked in the 59th over, as Kimber set a new record by hitting 43 runs off Robinson in just one over with nine balls. This was due to Robinson overstepping three times.

Kimber scored 41 runs in boundaries during the match, including two sixes and six fours.

I decided to stay optimistic and wait to see the outcome. I encountered some fortunate moments along the way, but it's necessary to have those strokes of luck.

Many of the guys have advised me to cherish this moment because opportunities like this are rare.

"My phone has been vibrating with notifications and the achievements I have accomplished are pretty impressive."

Kimber shared that the opposing Sussex players praised him for his performance and expressed that he should not have been on the losing team.

He said, "I can't recall ever hitting the ball as perfectly as I did today."

I entered a strange mindset where I just focused on hitting the ball in the right spot without overthinking.
