Many people have come together in the city center for London's yearly Pride Parade.

The parade began at Hyde Park on Saturday afternoon, led by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan walking with his wife, Saadiya Khan, at the front.

The mayor was accompanied by Andrew Boff, a member of the Conservative Party in the London Assembly, and air quality advocate Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah.

Mr Khan expressed his happiness in a statement, saying that he is thrilled to see the diverse LGBTQI+ communities and their supporters coming together in London for the famous Pride celebrations and march of unity.

The leader of London, Sadiq Khan, guided the march.

"Pride is always a special time for me, and I feel privileged to have participated in every march since I became mayor in 2016," Mr Khan said.

This amazing occasion is a symbol of hope for LGBTQI+ rights and proves why our city is a model of acceptance and diversity - a place where you are accepted and honored for being yourself. The LGBTQI+ groups in our city play a significant role in enriching life in London.

He added: "There is still more work that needs to be done to reach real equality. I am a proud supporter and will continue to stand with the LGBTQI+ communities in our city as we strive to create a more inclusive London for everyone."

The parade, which began at Hyde Park, is expected to finish at Trafalgar Square.

Before the event, Transport for London (TfL) cautioned that there might be disturbances and closures of Tube stations.

The blog recommended that people should go to Bond Street, Hyde Park Corner, or Marble Arch stations if they are planning to join the parade. For those who want to watch the parade or go to events in Trafalgar Square or Soho, it suggested using Bond Street, Charing Cross, Embankment, Tottenham Court Road, Victoria, or Westminster stations.
