About 20 minutes later, the authorities announced: "Specialized officers have successfully conducted a controlled explosion, and the police barricades have now been removed. Thank you for your understanding."

The barriers that were set up during the investigation have now been taken down, enabling the station to resume operations.

The Met provided their most recent update just after 12:30 PM on Saturday.

Stuart posted on Twitter: "The station at #Euston has been cleared out, and there are barriers everywhere. There's a significant police presence and incident response teams. I'm not entirely sure what's happening."

The south terminal at Gatwick Airport was closed for over four hours (Gareth Fuller/PA).

On Thursday, authorities arrested three individuals and evacuated a bus terminal in Glasgow after the bomb squad was alerted about a possible suspicious object.

Earlier on Saturday, authorities sent a bomb squad robot to Chester's bus and train stations due to a security concern. Officers informed the BBC that they were looking into "suspicious behavior on two buses."

This week, Twitter users noticed a recurring theme in the news.

One person mentioned, "In the past week, there have been bomb threats reported at Gatwick Airport, Euston Station, Chester Station, the US Embassy, and in Glasgow."

Another person remarked, "First it was Gatwick, then the US embassy, followed by bus and train stations in Chester, and now Euston station? Clearly, something unusual is happening. This isn't typical."
