What are the actual ingredients in the popular Prime beverage?
Logan Paul and KSI, two popular boxers who are also known influencers, have introduced a new beverage that is being promoted as a healthier substitute for a variety of energy drinks.
Most of the 500ml bottle contains filtered water with a blend of 10% coconut water.
The second option is a beneficial resource of minerals such as potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium which are crucial elements for maintaining good heart, bone and muscle conditions.
The Prime brand emphasizes that their beverage does not consist of any extra sugars or caffeine, making it not truly classified as an energy drink.
Energy drinks are a topic of debate due to their high sugar content, with some cans containing over 80g of sugar, which could cause bad health effects. Additionally, they may come with an excessive amount of caffeine — up to three times the amount of caffeine found in three cups of coffee. This excessive consumption of energy drinks is especially concerning for young people.
When we compare it with other drinks, prime contains just 2g of sugar per bottle, which is approximately equivalent to 7% of an adult's daily sugar intake. The drink utilizes two artificial sweeteners namely Sucralose and Acesulfame K to add flavor.
These substances belong to the category of artificial sweeteners which are a group of chemical compounds that contain few calories and are used as a substitute for sugar.
Although there has been some worry about the health effects of these components, the authorities that manage health claim that they are secure.
Nevertheless, a few research works have indicated that artificial sweeteners have the potential to boost one's appetite or change the bacteria present in the digestive system, ultimately heightening the likelihood of gaining weight and becoming obese.
In a different post on Twitter, it announced that it will have available six different types of the drink, which include lemon lime and meta moon.
Each bottle will be available for purchase at £1.99 at the supermarket, however, the supermarket has notified that they will only be available for a limited time and will not be restocked once they sell out.
After the news was released, enthusiastic customers responded by saying that they were already getting ready for a frenzied situation in order to get their hands on a bottle.
Someone wrote: "Going to my nearby store to buy some before pre-school will definitely stress me out."
One more client completely rejected the notion and said: 'I cannot handle it'.
A client made a humorous remark about avoiding the frenzy by saying they would "cancel their large grocery shopping" to sidestep the crowded situation.
Since Prime was initially introduced in the United States in the previous year, it is assessed that there are over a hundred million containers that have been purchased around the globe.

Surprising video footage recently surfaced depicting shoppers at a Sainsbury's location in Liverpool engaged in a scuffle over bottles of orange and mango flavor.
As soon as the entry unlocked, the situation turned chaotic. Impatient customers of all ages, grownups and kids alike, started pushing and climbing over one another in a frenzy to get their hands on the bottles.
The employees were very angry and had just informed everyone that only three bottles per person were allowed. They were heard telling the customers to stop pushing rudely.
Someone else was overheard saying, 'hey folks, it's simply a beverage'.
