Natalie Wyatt has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Local Visitor Economy Partnership in the Liverpool City Region.

She will become part of the newly created organization in October, which aims to greatly enhance the region's £5 billion tourism industry.

"I'm eager to jump in and begin making a genuine, positive impact. I'm thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to creating and implementing a strategy that puts our six fantastic boroughs at the heart of it all," she expressed.

LVEP aims to showcase the City Region's abundant resources so effectively that we become the top choice for anyone planning a major event, seeking new business opportunities, or shooting the next big Hollywood film.

"By adopting new ideas, encouraging teamwork, and focusing on the health and happiness of both visitors and locals, LVEP will help keep Liverpool City Region as a leading attraction worldwide."

Her responsibilities will include concentrating on marketing destinations, building relationships with stakeholders, and encouraging tourism at both national and international levels.

The partnership, which hasn't been given a formal name yet, has the backing of local officials in the city area. It will be carried out in conjunction with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the Liverpool City Council.

"Collaborating with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, this new partnership aims to fully realize the potential of the Liverpool City Region. This latest appointment is crucial for our success. Liverpool has previously thrived in hosting events and promoting itself, but by bringing the entire region together, we can make an even bigger difference," stated Councillor Liam Robinson, Leader of Liverpool City Council.

By implementing a unified approach, we will improve how easily people can access and discover our amazing offerings. This includes highlighting our top-notch attractions, vibrant film sector, expertise in gaming and science, and diverse cultural traditions.

"This collaboration will solidify the Liverpool City Region's role as an important global contender, enhancing our core advantages, boosting our skills, improving connectivity, and strengthening our international presence."

Wyatt is now the Head of Marketing and Revenue Growth at Merseyrail. Before this role, she dedicated seven years to being the Strategic Marketing and Brand Leader at Transport for Greater Manchester. Additionally, she has held positions as Head of Marketing and Communications at Trafford Council and Managing Director of Marketing Blackpool.
