A football supporter who passed away while returning home from Liverpool's match on Saturday has been remembered by his family as "a bright light."

Neil Bradley, 59, was on his way home to Greater Manchester from Anfield stadium when his vehicle collided with a wall and a lamp post on Lister Drive in Liverpool around 10:15 PM GMT.

He was transported to the hospital, where he eventually passed away.

In a statement, his family expressed: “He brought joy and could brighten up any space with his humor.”

They mentioned that he had an unquenchable passion for life and frequently loved activities like running, watching trains, listening to rock music, and cheering for his childhood team, Liverpool.

Mr. Bradley originally hailed from Liverpool before making the recent move to Oldham.

Authorities stated that the accident did not involve any other vehicles and are asking anyone who saw it happen to reach out to them.

Detective Sergeant Andy Roper from Merseyside Police mentioned, “Neil attended the Liverpool versus Aston Villa game at Anfield, and we think he parked his red 2015 Ford Focus close to Newsham Park and Orphan Drive.”

"Every bit of information, no matter how minor or unimportant it might seem, could help us find answers for Neil's family."
