Liverpool recently presented new proposals for the Melwood training ground for their women's football team.
Melwood is presently being utilized by Liverpool Women football team and the academy for girls. The male team, however, relocated to a deluxe facility worth £50 million in the year 2020.
The club has submitted proposals to Liverpool City Council to install floodlights on three pitches once again and set up fresh signs to indicate their comeback.
According to the Local Democracy Reporting Service, the club's blueprints involve merging the training center with the current Robbie Fowler Academy located on the premises.
The team is also requesting authorization to install a movable shelter that will serve as a sanctuary for the academy and LFC Foundation.
As per the planning application, the club has searched for a location to build an advanced training ground and academy, which can be situated adjacent to a community center that supports their LFC Foundation charitable efforts, scrutinizing over 40 potential options for three years.
The blog stated that the club has done a lot of renovation work on the facilities, especially the three sports fields and a building, to prepare for the reopening of the elite training center for LFCW.
The planning department of the city council has yet to determine a date for evaluating the proposed plans.
