Lily Allen recently shared her feelings about spending Christmas by herself, just before news broke about her split from her husband, David Harbour, who is known for his role in Stranger Things.

Allen got married to Harbour in 2019 after they connected through Raya, a dating app that’s favored by celebrities and well-known individuals.

On Monday, December 23rd, it was reported that Allen reappeared on Raya just last week.

This has sparked unverified rumors that the "Smile" singer has parted ways with Harbour, who portrays Hopper in Netflix's popular sci-fi series Stranger Things.

As reported by MailOnline, her profile mentioned: “In search of a partner to begin couples therapy.”

The Independent has reached out to representatives of Allen and Harbour for their response.

The statements were made soon after a recent episode of the well-liked BBC Sounds podcast Miss Me?, where Allen's co-host, Miquita Oliver, posed the question to her friend: “Do you celebrate Christmas dinner by yourself?”

In a Christmas-themed episode, Allen shared that she would be traveling from the US to London and then on to Nairobi, Kenya, during the holiday season, all while not wearing her wedding ring.

She mentioned that there was a sudden alteration to her plans, admitting that she had "totally overlooked" the fact that she had tickets to attend The Nutcracker at the Lincoln Center with her family.

Oliver inquired of Allen, who is a father of two, “Now that you have your own family, do you handle Christmas dinner by yourselves?”

Allen said, "I haven't tried that yet, maybe just once. I really enjoy cooking and preparing food; it's quite relaxing for me."

The singer-turned-actor has mentioned that the distance in her relationship with Harbour actually helped them, as being apart has a way of strengthening their feelings for each other.

She mentioned to Oliver, "We use FaceTime frequently, and at times it feels overwhelming. There are occasions when we don’t communicate for a couple of days, and it’s actually refreshing."

Allen had earlier shared that she and Harbour probably wouldn't have tied the knot if it weren't for the Covid-19 pandemic.

The couple initially connected on Raya in 2020 and tied the knot in Las Vegas a year afterward.

Allen was once married to Sam Cooper, the father of her two daughters. The two parted ways in 2016, and their divorce was officially completed in 2018.

Regarding their relationship's connection to the global pandemic, Allen mentioned on the podcast Where There's a Will, There's a Wake that if it weren't for the lockdown, they likely would have found it difficult to carve out time to be with each other.

"He's an actor, and I have two kids who were six and seven years old back then," she shared with the podcast host at that moment.

"I'm not sure how we would have had enough time together to realize that our relationship was strong enough to justify the risk of moving to America as a couple."

She mentioned that after spending a year living together, she realized their relationship had potential, which prompted her decision to move to the United States.

"If that event hadn't taken place, I really don't think that chance would have come about," she mentioned.
