Among those who gathered to pay their respects at Liam Payne's funeral were members of One Direction and Simon Cowell, a judge from The X Factor.

Payne passed away at the age of 31 after falling from a hotel balcony on the third floor in Argentina last month, leading to a wave of sorrow among fans worldwide.

His old bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, were spotted at the private funeral held in Buckinghamshire on Wednesday.

Styles walked in with the television personality James Corden, while Cowell showed up with his fiancée, Lauren Silverman.

A horse-drawn cart transported a deep blue casket adorned with white roses, along with a red floral arrangement bearing the word "Son" and a blue one that read "Daddy," to St Mary’s Church in Amersham.

Payne has a seven-year-old son named Bear with singer Cheryl Tweedy, who was present at the funeral alongside her fellow Girls Aloud members, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.

Before he passed away, Payne resided in the village of Chalfont St. Giles in southeast Buckinghamshire, not far from his ex-partner and their child.

Among the other attendees were Payne's girlfriend, American social media personality Kate Cassidy, who came with Damian Hurley, the son of model Elizabeth Hurley. Also present were Rochelle Humes, a host on This Morning, and her husband, Marvin Humes, who is a former member of the band JLS.

A hush settled over the group of fans, some clutching pictures and flowers, as Payne's parents, Geoff and Karen, made their way to the carriage and took their place beside it.

Another floral arrangement illustrated bowling pins being toppled by a ball, reflecting one of Payne's favorite hobbies.

Payne gained recognition in 2010 when he took part in the ITV talent competition The X-Factor as a member of One Direction, which eventually became one of the best-selling boy bands in history.

In 2016, One Direction took a break. Payne then ventured into his solo career, and he released his first solo album, LP1, in December 2019.

The musician passed away on October 16 after plunging from a balcony at the CasaSur hotel in Buenos Aires. An autopsy revealed that he died from several injuries as well as internal and external bleeding.

Supporters worldwide have gathered for memorials in his honor and have also set up a tribute in his hometown of Wolverhampton.

In Argentina, three individuals have been accused in relation to Payne's death for providing drugs and for leaving a person in a situation that ultimately led to their death.
