Lest we forget: Remembrance Sunday service at Strathy

Today, the Remembrance Sunday service in Strathy took place at the Strathy Village Hall and the village's cenotaph.

The gathering started in the main hall, guided by church elder Kathryn Mackay and drew a diverse crowd of all ages.

A local piper, Carol-Anne Farquhar, led a parade to the cenotaph, where the rest of the ceremony was conducted by Robin Mackay, a church elder from Strathy.

Local veterans Rhona Hambleton and Karen Cunningham placed wreaths and honors at the site.

Once the service concluded, everyone went back to the village hall for some snacks and homemade treats.
