On Tuesday night at Wembley, the Three Lions secured a 2-0 victory over Finland, adding to their 2-0 triumph against the Republic of Ireland in Dublin just a few days earlier.

His time in charge has gotten off to a positive beginning, and the former Under-21s manager is a strong candidate for the position on a permanent basis.

Nonetheless, the 50-year-old acknowledges that transitioning into this demanding role has been challenging for him.

When asked by ITV if he feels more at ease in his position following the victory against Finland, he responded, "I certainly don’t feel at ease, not at all. I’ve really been pushed out of my comfort zone during this international break."

"It’s been a great experience, but I’ve had to ensure that I deliver top quality work each day, just like the rest of the team. It seems like everyone has risen to the challenge."

"We always strive to perform our best. We've been lucky to achieve two positive outcomes, and now it's time to build on that success."

Manchester United icon Roy Keane praised his response, commenting, "He's very genuine and doesn't pretend to be someone he's not. Good for him."

On Tuesday night, England's captain Harry Kane netted both goals in a memorable match, marking a significant milestone as he celebrated his 100th appearance for his nation while playing for Bayern Munich.

Kane has appreciated Carsley's contributions so far, noting that the new coach has motivated the team to express themselves on the field.

"He brought an incredible vibe to the team, and he emphasized the importance of freedom in our game, encouraging us to showcase our strongest skills. He stressed the need to be aggressive and put pressure on our opponents both when we have the ball and when we don't," Kane shared.

"We've performed really well in the first two matches. There's definitely still some room to get better, but it's been a fantastic beginning for him, and it's been a pleasure collaborating with him."
