Lauren Laverne given 'all clear' following cancer diagnosis
BBC presenter Lauren Laverne has announced that she has received the "all clear" following her cancer diagnosis.
The 46-year-old announced on social media that she will be back on The One Show next week and has been busy preparing new episodes for BBC Radio 4's Desert Island Discs.
She mentioned that she plans to come back to her 6 Music show in the new year.
In August, Laverne revealed that she was starting cancer treatment because a screening test detected the illness "early and unexpectedly."
She hasn't revealed the kind of cancer she was diagnosed with.

In expressing her gratitude to the medical team, friends, and everyone who reached out with well wishes, Laverne mentioned on Sunday that she is especially thankful for her husband Graeme and her two kids, who she described as having been "incredible every step of the way."
"It's been a challenging period, but it has given me valuable insights into what is truly important," she expressed.
I wouldn't say I suddenly felt remorse about not hiking the Inca Trail; instead, I've come to appreciate the beauty in everyday moments more than I ever expected. I’ve realized that the little things in life—the relationships we nurture and the kindness we show one another—are what truly matter.
A fresh episode of Desert Island Discs is set to be released on December 1. This episode features a recorded interview with comedian Mark Steel, which is thought to have been conducted by Laverne prior to her taking leave.

She will be back in a few weeks to film additional episodes and special Christmas installments of the series.
A representative from the BBC stated: "We are thrilled to have Lauren return to the studio this month for The One Show and Desert Island Discs. New episodes will start airing on Radio 4 on December 1, and we also look forward to having Lauren back at BBC Radio 6 Music in the new year."
