Lauren Boebert, who is a supporter of Trump, tweeted on Tuesday aimed at the President Biden saying, "The Biden group involved in crime will be remembered as the most corrupted political family in the history of America." What happened next was quite ironic, as her son, Tyler, who is 18 years old got arrested on multiple criminal charges in Colorado just a few hours later.
The Rifle Police Department wrote on Facebook that Tyler has been arrested in connection with several vehicle break-ins and property thefts in the area. He is being charged with four counts of criminal possession of ID documents and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, along with over 15 petty and misdemeanor charges. According to police, Tyler and three other juveniles, who remain unnamed, broke into cars and stole credit and debit cards. They were then caught using the stolen cards to purchase items such as fuel, energy drinks, and food at various convenience stores, Starbucks, and McDonald's. Authorities managed to identify Tyler and the other suspects via security camera footage that showed a young man wearing a “Shooters Grill” sweatshirt. This is the name of a restaurant owned by Boebert in the area.
Boebert made a statement to the Denver Post expressing her fondness for Tyler, but asserts that he needs to accept responsibility for his negative actions. She assures that she will stand by Tyler and support him, but also believes that he should be held accountable for his decisions as an adult and father, just like anyone else. Recently, Tyler was released on bond and is expected to appear in court again on April 11th.
Tyler has been arrested just a month after his father Jayson, who Boebert had filed for divorce against last year, was also arrested for third-degree criminal trespass, obstruction, and disorderly conduct. Recently, Boebert obtained a temporary restraining order against Jayson as she accused him of threatening to harm her.
It appears that Boebert should reconsider before disrespecting another person's family.
