Lana Del Rey to kick off first UK stadium tour in Cardiff
Lana Del Rey is set to launch her UK tour in Cardiff next year.
The artist known for "Summertime Sadness" will be performing at the Principality Stadium on June 23, making it her first-ever concert in Wales.
This concert is set to be a highlight of the singer's largest tour across the UK and Ireland to date, featuring performances at stadiums in cities like Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin, and London.
The 39-year-old was the main act at this year's Reading and Leeds festival and also headlined the renowned Coachella festival in the United States.
The American singer-songwriter made news when her performance at Glastonbury 2023 was shortened because she arrived late. She attributed the 30-minute delay to her hairstylists and later expressed her apologies for the situation.
Del Rey, whose actual name is Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, rose to prominence in 2011 with the release of her hit single "Video Games," which was succeeded by her first album bearing her name.
Since then, she has put out nine albums and won several awards, including two BRIT Awards, all while maintaining an enigmatic and glamorous persona.
Next summer, she will kick off her UK tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, joining the ranks of artists like Oasis and Bruce Springsteen.
Tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday at 10:00 GMT.
