The vocalist, aged 38, was having a conversation behind the scenes at the Ivors event in London. She was acknowledged for her achievements and impact on songwriting with a distinguished accolade.

When asked if she would be willing to compose a theme song for the Bond franchise, she replied, "Seriously, why has that not occurred yet?"

The BBC stated that the artist behind "Summertime Sadness" went on to sing the refrain of her music piece "24" from her Honeymoon album released in 2015.

"They requested me to compose that," she stated.

The day when the track was made available to public implies that Del Rey might have had the aspiration to be part of Spectre, a movie where actor Daniel Craig portrayed the charming secret agent for the fourth time.

The tune belonging to Spectre was ultimately sung by Sam Smith, who grabbed the prestigious Academy Award for Best Original Song with the track titled "Writing's On the Wall".

Del Rey commented that Smith did an outstanding job and playfully added that she would occasionally perform her version of Nancy Sinatra's signature tune and pretend that it was the main track.

In the meantime, RAYE, a famous pop singer from Britain, won the major award of the evening, which was the Songwriter of the Year. She expressed her shock over Del Rey's song being turned down, commenting on how Del Rey had the ideal energy for the song.

"I have a strong feeling that she would be very enthusiastic about it - and I believe that it should be arranged for a later time," she stated.

He started off with a humorous comment, stating that he will keep his speech short unlike the lengthy concerts of Bruce.

Afterwards, he stated that he couldn't come up with a more suitable person to receive the 2024 fellowship, except for Bob Dylan.

"He mentioned Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Beyoncé, and Taylor Swift. There are many more in this category."

Springsteen has made history by becoming the inaugural global music composer to be granted the Ivors Fellowship, the most prestigious accolade presented at the Ivor Novello Awards ceremony.

In the past, individuals who were awarded the fellowship were Sir Elton John, Kate Bush, Joan Armatrading, and Sir Paul McCartney. Additionally, Sir Paul was the inaugural artist to receive this distinction when it was established in the year 2000.

Paul said in a playful manner that Springsteen is called the American worker, but he honestly confessed that he has never done any work in his life.

McCartney and Springsteen are close pals, and during the Beatles icon's Glastonbury performance in 2022, the "Born to Run" icon made an unexpected cameo.

The complete record of the recipients of Ivors awards is available at this location.
