The dad of Spain's upcoming Euro 2024 sensation, Lamine Yamal, was seen 'having a disagreement with people who live nearby' just before he was attacked and stabbed in a parking lot.

The conflict between Yamal's dad and his neighbors supposedly escalated when they tossed water at him from a higher floor.

Mounir Nasraoui reportedly got into an altercation in a parking lot in Matora, Spain, last night and was later assaulted.

After the incident, he was quickly taken to Can Ruti hospital in Badalona and reportedly remains in critical condition.

Spanish news sources Relevo and Mundo Deportivo have stated that Nasraoui is still in the hospital but is now safe and not in danger.

Video has surfaced showing the soccer player's dad in a heated dispute with people in the community around 3:45pm last Wednesday. He was later removed by police before the violent incident occurred.

Video has surfaced showing Nasraoui (wearing a yellow Barcelona shirt) being escorted by police following a reported dispute with neighbors.

The argument between Yamal's father and the residents reportedly escalated when they allegedly poured water on him from a building's upper level, just hours before he was attacked with a knife.

Earlier video has also surfaced showing Nasraoui (wearing a yellow Barcelona shirt) being escorted by a community member before the police showed up.

Prior to the police arriving to take him away, a different video captures Nasraoui being guided away by someone else following a dispute.

As reported by La Vanguardia, nearby citizens said Nasraoui got into a disagreement with a few people while out for a walk with his dog.

It is said that the disagreement escalated into a physical altercation during which Nasraoui was repeatedly stabbed.

Spanish police have arrested three individuals and charged them with attempted murder, according to a report by El Mundo.

The inquiry is still in progress after the event that occurred at approximately 9:10pm in the local time zone.

People who saw the stabbing happen have been visited by the police in the area as they try to gather important details about the attack.

There is a video now available showing a previous altercation between Nasraoui and some other people in the community before Yamal's father was taken away by the police.

Nasraoui has always cheered on his son and was there when 17-year-old Yamal won the European Championship title with Spain, defeating England in the final.

Yamal was the standout player for Spain during the tournament. His father had mentioned in the past that the young talent has the potential to surpass Lionel Messi.

In the photo, law enforcement officers are shown responding to the scene where Mr. Nasraoui was attacked with a knife during an argument.

Nasraoui has always been there to cheer on his son, who recently won the European Championship in Spain at the age of 17.

Nasraoui, who is 35 years old, continues to reside in the Mataro area of Catalonia, which is where the assault took place.

Nasraoui calls the Rocafonda neighborhood in Mataro home, the same neighborhood where Yamal grew up. He pays tribute to the area with his '304' celebration, which is a nod to the neighborhood's postal code.

The father, who is 35 years old, is originally from Morocco, but he moved to Spain when he was nine years old. It was in Spain where he met Sheila Ebana, who eventually became the mother of their son, a talented young football player, born in 2007.

He dreamed of being a professional football player in Spain, but he didn't succeed, so he started working multiple jobs to make a living.

Nasraoui, who is two years younger than Jesus Navas, a teammate of Yamal in Spain, accompanied his son throughout Germany as Spain excelled and became champions of Euro 2024.
