Mounir Nasraoui was brought to the hospital following an assault in a parking lot near Barcelona, as reported by Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.

The newspaper reported that his condition is serious but stable, according to reliable sources who were not named.

The authorities have reported that a few arrests have been carried out, but no additional information was given.

A recent update on the sports website Relevo, which also referenced official sources, stated that Mr. Nasraoui had been released from the hospital.

The local law enforcement did not promptly respond to a query for a statement.

Yamal, who is the youngest player in Spain's history, played a key role in the Euro 24 team's victory over England in the final match in Berlin last month. As a right-winger, he assisted Nico Williams in scoring the opening goal.

Mataro, the city where Yamal spent his early years, was filled with celebratory energy after the victory, with fans crowding the streets to show their joy.

Shortly after his team won the trophy, Yamal was awarded the title of young player of the tournament.

He holds the record for being the most youthful participant in a European Championship.

New pictures have surfaced of Lionel Messi cradling a baby.
