'I've made a whole record about her': Lady Gaga still thinking about Harley Quinn at Joker sequel premiere
Lady Gaga has opened up about her difficulty in moving on from portraying her take on the well-known comic book character Harley Quinn in the upcoming Joker sequel.
In an interview with Sky News during the UK premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, she confessed, "I'm not entirely sure if I did, since I've created an entire album focused on her."
As movie fans get ready to watch the Oscar-winning actress play the "true love" of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, the singer of "Poker Face" revealed that she's going to release a 13-track album that will accompany the film.
"I believe the entire experience deeply motivated me," Lady Gaga confessed.
It was truly wonderful to discover this character through the combination of music, the script, dance, and the incredible teamwork involved.
Following the success of Joker in 2019, which earned two Academy Awards and grossed over $1 billion globally, director Todd Phillips and his star decided to explore a new direction. They aimed to revisit the complex character of Arthur Fleck/Joker with a fresh perspective.

As the character is placed in an institution while he waits for his trial, his imaginative world includes him becoming skilled in singing and tap dancing, showcasing his fantasies in this situation.
Gaga mentioned that they frequently sought advice from one another, especially regarding Phoenix's need to perform vocally in front of the cameras.
We were always exchanging thoughts like, "How do you feel about this?" It was a lot of back and forth. I really enjoyed collaborating with Joaquin.
Every day at the office was engaging and enjoyable. There was never a moment of boredom; it was consistently exciting and lively.
"Despite the Joker's dark themes, we shared plenty of laughter on set and aimed to keep everything feeling natural."

Although Phoenix didn't take the time for interviews on the red carpet, he has talked before about how he sees Gaga as someone who is very grounded and has an incredible drive to dive right in with everyone. He noted that she was open and willing to try anything.
The film debuted at the Venice Film Festival earlier this month and received a variety of reviews. However, we'll soon discover who ends up on top—whether it's the cast of the Joker or the reviewers.
Joker: Folie à Deux will be released in theaters across the UK on October 4th.
