Kylian Mbappe has strongly denied a report claiming that police are looking into a rape incident at a hotel where he was with friends in Sweden, labeling it as 'false information.'

The soccer player spent last week from Wednesday to Friday in Sweden with friends, lodging at the Bank Hotel located in the heart of the city.

On Thursday, the Real Madrid player stopped by the Chez Jolie restaurant, then made his way to the V nightclub, and eventually returned to his hotel in a black van with his group.

The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has reported that authorities are looking into a rape incident that is said to have occurred at a hotel in central Stockholm on Thursday night.

Mbappe posted a newspaper article regarding the alleged rape on X and expressed, "Fake News! It’s getting so predictable, almost like clockwork, especially right before the hearing," referencing the upcoming hearing before the Professional Football League committee. This hearing is part of his ongoing battle with his former club PSG over €55 million in unpaid wages.

The Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet has reported that authorities are looking into a rape that occurred at the Bank Hotel in central Stockholm, where Mbappe was residing. This incident reportedly took place on Thursday night.

However, Mbappe posted a newspaper article about the supposed rape on X and commented: 'False Information!'

On Thursday, the Real Madrid player stopped by the Chez Jolie restaurant (seen on the left after leaving the restaurant with his friends). After that, he went to the V nightclub and later returned to his hotel in a black van accompanied by his group.

According to Aftonbladet, police and forensics teams visited the suspected crime scene on Monday.

The article mentioned that concerns about the supposed rape came to light when the woman sought treatment at a nearby hospital.

On Friday, Mbappe departed from Bromma Airport in Sweden aboard a private jet.

The prosecutor overseeing the rape investigation chose not to provide any statements about the case, informing local reporters, "I have no comments to make on this."

The police in Stockholm provided a comparable statement to MailOnline through spokesperson Carina Skagerlind, saying, "We are unable to confirm or deny the existence of this case."

As reported by Aftonbladet, there have not been any individuals identified as suspects in the case so far.

MailOnline has reached out to the local prosecutor's office and Bank Hotel for a response.

On Thursday night, while Mbappe was spotted at the V nightclub in Stockholm, his French teammates were busy winning against Israel with a score of 4-1.

Mbappe has come under fire in France for opting out of the Nations League matches against Israel and Belgium, even though he was ready to play for his team, Real Madrid.

Last month, the footballer suffered a muscle strain in his hamstring. However, he made a comeback by coming on as a substitute during his team's Champions League loss to Lille last Wednesday, after which he apparently flew to Stockholm.

He participated in the majority of Real Madrid's match against Villarreal over the weekend, but mentioned that he now requires additional rest to aid in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Mbappe played for the French national team that claimed victory in the 2018 World Cup. He has netted 48 goals in 86 appearances for his country, ranking him as the third all-time leading scorer for France.

France's coach Didier Deschamps has revealed that he did not include Mbappe in the national team roster, citing the 25-year-old's inadequate preparation due to a lack of playing time.

In a video shared by the French Football Federation (FFF) on Monday, Deschamps stated: "Kylian represents many qualities... the priorities of clubs and those of national teams often conflict."

It's important to keep in mind that the club is the one who employs the players, not the federation.

Mbappe is the captain of France, and with both him and vice-captain Antoine Griezmann missing some matches, Deschamps mentioned that other players needed to step up in their roles.

He was a member of the French squad that clinched the World Cup in 2018 and has netted 48 goals in 86 appearances for his national team, ranking him as the third all-time leading scorer for France.
