The body of 38-year-old catwalk coach Kristina Joksimovic was found at her residence close to Basel, Switzerland, in February.

Local Swiss outlet FM1 Today stated that the autopsy findings revealed the body had been cut apart in the laundry room using a jigsaw, a knife, and pruning shears.

According to the article, various body parts were blended into a smooth consistency using a hand mixer and then mixed with a chemical solution.

BZ Basel stated that Thomas, 41, contended he was acting in self-defense when his wife attacked him with a knife. In a moment of panic, he dismembered her body in their laundry room.

The Federal Court rejected his request to be released from custody after he allegedly admitted to murdering the 2007 titleholder of Miss Northwest Switzerland, the mother of his two children.

As reported by FM1 Today, a forensic analysis concluded that Ms. Joksimovic's death was caused by strangulation.

Prosecutors argue that Thomas displayed a disregard for others and a chilling demeanor following the murder of his wife, as well as in his attempts to conceal the crime.

Former Miss Switzerland Christa Rigozzi, who was close with Joksimovic, shared her feelings with 20 Minuten: “This is devastating. I’m truly stunned.”

"I can't stop thinking about her two daughters. She was a truly lovely person with a big heart."
