Alistair Phillips-Davies recognised in King’s Birthday Honours List

Alistair got a CBE for his contributions to the energy industry and promoting net zero carbon emissions.

The award was accompanied by a statement from the Honours Committee. The statement recognized Alistair's admirable teamwork and leadership skills. He has been working on transforming the industry for a long time. This transformation will bring clean, secure, and affordable energy to future generations.

After hearing about the news, Alistair gave his reaction:

I was completely taken aback by this unexpected recognition and I am incredibly thankful for being honored in such a manner. However, I believe that this recognition is a reflection of the continuous dedication of 14,000 individuals who work tirelessly at SSE in various roles.

The tasks we are carrying out are genuinely having a beneficial impact on the world, and I believe that this recognition acknowledges that fact.

Alistair Phillips-Davies started working with SSE in 1997 and was appointed as the CEO of the organization in July 2013.
