They celebrated the arrival of their daughter Daisy Dove in August 2020, with an announcement made by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
"Hello everyone, meet the newest member of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom's family, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are pleased to announce the arrival of their precious baby as our new Goodwill Ambassadors," the organization shared on their website and Instagram.
"We are overjoyed and filled with love and amazement by the safe and healthy birth of our daughter," the new parents shared with UNICEF.
Katy subtly suggested to People that she is interested in growing her family.
After the chaos of the pandemic settling and their daughter about to turn four this year, many supporters believed that 2024 might be the right moment for Katy and Orlando to get married.
Katy suggested that she might have additional free time once her American Idol work obligations come to an end.
During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she mentioned that she believes this upcoming season will be her final one on American Idol. While she has a deep love for the show and the connection it has given her to the American audience, she explained that she feels the need to move on and follow her own path.
She mentioned in Parade magazine: "It's certainly creating room for a wide range of things."
Katy and Orlando began a relationship in 2016 after meeting at In-N-Out following the Golden Globes. Even though they separated in 2017, they reignited their relationship in less than a year.
The actor from Pirates of the Caribbean asked Perry to marry him during a dinner in February 2019. The singer from Dark Horse confessed she didn't expect it.
"I was expecting to visit an art exhibition after dinner, but to my surprise, we ended up riding a helicopter instead. We were sipping champagne and I noticed the ring box hidden in his jacket pocket," she recounted.
He gave her a ring with rubies and diamonds to propose. When she was seen wearing a gold band instead in early 2024, rumors started circulating that they might have gotten married in secret.
But Katy and Orlando did not make any remarks about the photos, which may have just displayed the ring from a different angle.
