Pop superstar Katy Perry recently announced her intention to visit Kent during a funny exchange with a fan at her concert.

The American singer shared with the audience her intention to visit the county while taking breaks during her special concert event, Katy Perry: Night of a Lifetime, held at Central Hall Westminster in London yesterday (December 21).

The world-renowned superstar is in a relationship with Orlando Bloom, who hails from Canterbury, and they have a daughter together.

In a TikTok video shared by a fan during the event, he mentions that he’s from Kent as well and inquires if she has had the chance to explore the county.

Katy commented, “Kent? Wow, someone else is also from there! That’s surprising. We haven’t had a chance to visit Kent yet.”

Looking over at Orlando, she says, “Sweetheart, he just inquired if I've visited Kent yet.”

"We've discussed it during our therapy sessions, and it's clear that we really need to take action!"

"We're planning a trip to Kent followed by a visit to Canterbury – we'll take our time and really enjoy the experience."

Katy expresses her gratitude to the fan, who mentions that his name is also Perry, and then she looks at her future husband with a hint of accusation.

She laughs and says, "Oh, you were placed here on purpose, right? Orlando set you up!"

The exchange has garnered thousands of likes on the social media site, with users calling it "legendary."

Some people have shared funny ideas for places to perform and visit in their comments.

A user recommended, “I think you should check out Chatham and Gillingham for some daytime shopping, take a boat ride on the Medway, and then spend the evening in Rochester – that’s the authentic Kent experience.”

Someone else commented, "I would really enjoy watching Katy in Margate battling with the seagulls."

One person remarked, "This is legendary—let's bring her to Bluewater!"
