Kanye West's supporters are angry following his apparent postponement of his joint album with Ty Dolla Sign.
During the weekend, the rapper who is now 46 years old and goes by the name "Ye" revealed that his new album, titled Vultures, will be available on Friday, December 15. This marks his comeback to the music industry after a series of scandals over the past year, including the inappropriate remarks he made that were considered anti-Semitic.
The artist gave a sneak peek of his highly anticipated album at a listening event in Miami, Florida yesterday. However, there was outrage when photos surfaced of him donning a black pointed robe that resembled the attire of the Ku Klux Klan.
During the gathering, West omitted Minaj's verse while performing his track titled "New Body". He subsequently requested Minaj, known for her hit song "Starships", to approve the collaboration they had worked on three years prior.
Fans were eagerly anticipating the release of the album and even at the beginning of today, it had not yet been released. Critics expressed their frustration towards X for the delay.
One person shared a brief video clip of Kanye West saying "Gotcha" and commented that he was able to avoid releasing another album on its scheduled date.
In the past, West has often declared the arrival of new albums, but he has not always managed to stick to the initial timeline. Last year, the artist declared that he would be releasing two albums - God's Country and Donda: With Child - but thus far, they have yet to be officially released.
Almost all of the records he has put out have been postponed. Donda, which was planned for release in 2021, was pushed back for a month. Similarly, Jesus is King, which was initially going to be called Yandhi, came out over a year after West first revealed his intent to release it.
Kanye West's most popular album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, was initially scheduled to come out on September 14th, 2010. However, the release date got pushed back twice; first to October 12th, and then finally to November 22nd.

Currently, on Twitter, the hashtag #Kanye is quite popular. There are numerous posts related to the postponed album launch and the difficulties encountered during the second Vultures listening party held in Las Vegas on the night of Thursday, 14 December. These technical issues had disrupted the livestream of the party.
Many supporters commented that it seemed like West was producing a melody using his iPhone keyboard when the music suddenly stopped playing. After that, the live stream paused for a while, and rumors started to spread that the police stopped the event due to permit problems.
"The music abruptly stopped playing at the Vultures Rave, prompting Kanye to groove along to the rhythm of his typing," joked a fan.
Another commentator on X jokingly remarked that it was quite amusing to hear Kanye produce a beat using the iPhone keyboard.
After the livestream came back, fans were thrilled to see a video of West embracing rapper Kid Cudi and putting their disagreement to rest, following a very public feud over Pete Davidson. Davidson was dating West's former spouse, Kim Kardashian, in February 2022.
After it was discovered that Cudi was friends with the star from Saturday Night Live who had dated Kardashian for nine months, West deleted all of Cudi's contributions from Donda.
There are reports suggesting that Cudi, who frequently collaborates with West, is included in the lineup for the new album.
Some other prominent guest performers that will be gracing the stage include Nicki Minaj, Young Thug, and Lil Baby. In addition, West's 10-year-old child, North, is also scheduled to make an appearance.
West performed the title track of his latest album unexpectedly at a nightspot in Dubai, causing controversy. This occurred last month.
At a certain moment in the song, he spits the words: "Why would someone even consider me to be prejudiced against Jewish people? I recently engaged in sexual activity with a woman of Jewish heritage."
West's spokespersons did not reply to The Independent's inquiry about his comments right away.
