Kai Trump, the granddaughter of Donald Trump, has started her own YouTube channel.
The 17-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his former spouse Vanessa has moved beyond just posting her daily activities on TikTok and Instagram. She's now creating longer videos that showcase what a typical day looks like for her, along with clips of her golfing.
In one of her videos, she competes in a golf game against another YouTuber known as GM Golf. He ultimately came out on top, winning the 18-hole match by a margin of two strokes.
Her newest video is called “Sunset Golf at My Favorite Course Ever!” and it features one of the golf courses owned by the president-elect in Bedminster, New Jersey. In the video, she can be seen mimicking her grandfather's distinctive dance moves.
The teenager is now a junior at the Benjamin School in Palm Beach County, Florida, where tuition is $37,000 a year. She has already set her sights on the future, sharing in an Instagram post in August that she plans to play golf at the University of Miami starting next year.
Kai has been playing golf since she was just two years old, benefiting from the chance to learn and hone her skills on her grandfather’s numerous golf courses in Florida, California, New Jersey, and Scotland.
"I am thrilled to share that I have officially committed to the University of Miami! I want to express my deepest gratitude to my mom, Vanessa, and my dad, Don, for their unwavering support throughout my journey," she shared in an Instagram update. "I also want to acknowledge my amazing team for helping me reach this milestone. A special thanks to my Grandpa for providing me with excellent resources and encouragement. Lastly, I want to thank my Mormor for always having faith in me."
"I want to express my gratitude to my family for their constant support and motivation to help me become the best version of myself. I'm also thankful to my friends for their unwavering encouragement."
She concluded her message by saying, “Finally, I want to express my gratitude to Coach Janice and Coach Jim for this amazing opportunity. I'm really thrilled to be a Cane and to represent the University of Miami. Go Canes!”
The high school student gained recognition for her speech at the 2024 Republican National Convention, where she talked about her grandfather.
“I’m Kai Madison Trump,” the 17-year-old introduced herself. “I’m the granddaughter of Donald Trump. Today, I want to highlight a side of my grandfather that doesn't usually get shown to the public.”
She portrays him as a classic grandparent who indulges his grandchildren with treats that their parents typically wouldn’t permit.
“She mentioned that he often calls her while she's at school to chat about her golf game. However, she has to remind him that she's in class and needs to return the call later.”
Kai talked about how, during their rounds of golf, he tries to pull pranks on her to distract her. Nonetheless, she insists that his tricks never succeed.
"He's often taken aback that I don’t let him affect me," she mentioned. "I have to remind him that I'm also part of the Trump family."
Recently, Kai celebrated her grandfather's victory in securing a second term as President of the United States, beating the Democratic candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, on Wednesday, November 6th.
“There's no one who puts in more effort or shows more concern for the American people,” she wrote in an Instagram post that included pictures of her with her grandfather and other relatives. “Congratulations, Grandpa! I love you!”
