Luca Toni: "Juventus squad not at level of Inter Milan"

Juventus

According to ex-Bayern Munich and Italy forward Luca Toni, Inter Milan has a superior squad compared to Juventus.

In an interview with SportMediaset, as reported by FCInterNews, a former World Cup champion from 2006 discussed the players of Inter Milan and Juventus, pointing out the differences between the two teams.

From the start of the season until January's end, both Inter and Juventus were fighting for the title.

Inter has maintained that level of performance throughout the entire second half of the season.

Juventus didn't have the same outcome. Their performance drastically declined at the beginning of spring.

Max Allegri first realized that there was an issue when his team drew against Empoli.

In early February, during the weekend following the aforementioned game, Inter emerged victorious over Juventus.

The outcome of the match led to the Juventus team losing any remaining motivation they had.

At a certain moment in time, Inter was behind Juventus in the league standings in January (although they still had a few games left to play before facing their Italian rivals in the Derby d'Italia).

Currently, Inter Milan has an incredible lead of 25 points over Juventus.

AC Milan, the city rivals of Inter, are currently in the closest position to them on the table. However, they are still twenty points behind.

At the moment, Juventus and Bologna have the same amount of points.

According to Toni, a former striker for both Bianconeri and Fiorentina, Juventus made a good start in his view.

Toni stated that the beginning of the season for the Bianconeri exceeded expectations. However, their team is not up to par with that of Inter's.
