Before their big show at Glastonbury's West Holts Stage tonight, British dance group Jungle made a stop in West Berkshire to share their infectious beats and funky electronic music with the local community.

Jungle was the second to last band to perform at Wasing Estate's On The Mount series this year. They took the stage yesterday and delivered an electrifying performance.

After a great start last year, Wasing stepped up their game in 2024 by bringing in some top-notch musicians. They secured performances from Australian rock band Crowded House, Scottish singer Paolo Nutini, folk artist Nick Mulvey, electronic music legends Underworld, and the popular group Jungle.

The Mount, known as the location, is a fantastic place for a concert.

To reach the venue, you stroll for 10 minutes through a beautiful forest, passing unique sculptures, walking under wooden arches, and encountering spiritual individuals emitting interesting scents from burning herbs.

The unexpected greeting aims to bring everyone together in a shared atmosphere. The setting of the stage helps in fostering this communal feeling as well.

Situated at the base of a hill in a spacious open area, the stage is visible to all thanks to the incline, ensuring there is no crowding and ample space for dancing.

Jungle started their performance right as the sun was going down, opening with one of their most popular songs, Busy Earnin' from their first album released in 2014.

Even though the band only has three main members (Josh Lloyd-Watson, Tom McFarland and Lydia Kitto), they play as a group of eight.

All wearing the same single-colored outfits, the eight musicians frequently disappeared into the basic yet stunning display of lights behind them.

The performance featured moving shapes and lines in a small variety of colors, emphasizing the idea that simplicity is better.

The band Jungle showcased a polished and sleek musical style in their performance. Each song was flawlessly executed and seamlessly transitioned into the next.

Some of the standout moments of the performance included their popular 2023 song Back on 74, the west coast-influenced track Heavy, California, and the uplifting anthem Keep Moving, which closed out the show.

During the whole concert, attendees were having a great time. I frequently witnessed hugs between new acquaintances and family members.

Jungle played the ideal music for a fun summer night that brought people together to enjoy great tunes and good vibes.
