The Leeds fighter lost a match to the Irish opponent for the IBO world super featherweight championship and was later spotted leaving his gloves in the center of the ring.

A common practice for fighters when they retire right after a match is to take a moment for a photo. After his fight, Warrington struck a pose with his gloves resting at his feet.

“My first impression is that it’s missing,” Warrington said during an interview on Matchroom’s YouTube channel. “I need some time to reflect on it.”

The ex-world champion currently holds a record of 31 victories, four losses, and one draw in his professional boxing career. However, after suffering three consecutive losses, it appears that Warrington may have reached the end of his career.

Warrington, who is 33 years old, claimed the IBF featherweight world title in 2022 after beating Kiko Martinez. However, he later lost a decision to Luis Alberto Lopez and was knocked out by Leigh Wood in Sheffield.

Once again, he came up short as Cacace dominated the match, securing a decisive victory. All three judges gave the fight to the Irishman with scores of 117-111, 117-111, and 118-110.

"He's done an incredible job for British boxing," trainer Shane McGuigan said on BBC 5 Live after observing the act.
