Radio 1: Jamie Laing to replace Jordan North on drivetime show

Radio 1 has announced that Jamie Laing, who's well-known for his appearance on Made in Chelsea, will take over from Jordan North on the drivetime program.

Jordan has been a member of the Radio 1 team for a decade and is highly favored among listeners as one of their preferred hosts.

Jamie is going to be the presenter of the Going Home program from Monday to Thursday, from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, along with Vick Hope.

Beginning 4th of March, he will assume the role after previously serving as a temporary host for Radio 1 during Mollie King's time off for maternity purposes. He referred to the experience as "a complete dream."

He exclaims that it is unbelievable to join Vick on Drivetime because he has enjoyed being on air with Radio 1 so much in the past few years.

"I'm extremely thrilled to begin and accompany listeners during their commutes back home."

The renowned personality from Made in Chelsea, Jamie Laing, is all set to replace Jordan's time slot on the 4th of March.

Before, Jamie was a co-host on Radio 1's podcast called 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer. Additionally, he currently hosts the NewlyWeds podcast with his spouse, Sophie Habboo.

According to Aled Haydn Jones, the leader of Radio 1, Jamie has been enjoyed by the youthful viewers.

He stated that Jordan has been a remarkable host and an esteemed coworker at Radio 1, and he feels a sense of admiration for the path that he has taken while working with them.

Throughout his shows and ventures, he has consistently engaged with the Radio 1 listeners, which was evidenced by the significant sum of money that he managed to raise for Comic Relief by rowing his way from London to Burnley.
