Jonnie Peacock finished in fifth place at the Paralympics, but he took the chance to speak up and ask Seb Coe for more true representation in the Diamond League events.

Host cities of Diamond League events may choose to incorporate disability disciplines into their programming at their own discretion. These disciplines often involve a mix of classifications and may occur at times that are not part of the main global broadcast schedule.

The sport of para athletics is overseen by the International Paralympic Committee, not World Athletics. However, Peacock took advantage of his position at Paris 2024 to urge Coe to get involved.

Peacock urged for increased support for the Paralympics, which he emphasized is crucial. He is among the 1,000 top athletes supported by UK Sport's World Class Programme, funded by the National Lottery. This funding allows athletes to train full time, receive guidance from top coaches, and access cutting-edge medical support. These resources have been essential for athletes like Peacock as they work towards the Paris 2024 Games.

Seb Coe, we are calling on you to include us in the real Diamond League. We don't want to just be a sideshow or a last-minute addition for TV coverage - we want to have a prominent presence.

Putting on the stickers before anyone takes their seat gives off a good impression. Mixing things up so someone can set a world record but still finish sixth is both a joke and disrespectful to the athlete who actually finishes sixth.

Currently, a big topic in the media is the importance of being seen and represented. How do we fit into the Diamond League? The Paralympics have many competitive events that showcase top athletes, making it an exciting sport.

Reporters pointed out to Peacock that there are other people who also organize large athletics competitions, not just Coe.

Michael Johnson is starting a new Track League next year and Peacock wasted no time in criticizing the four-time Olympic champion.

"Michael Johnson has the potential to surpass Seb Coe and help us secure a spot in the top position," Peacock mentioned. "He should focus on promoting para sports. I believe that our activities fall under the category of athletics, so we should be included in athletic competitions."

The T64 competition is truly a top-notch sporting event and should be seen as the highlight of the Games.

Four athletes who each have won a major championship recently, stood in front of a crowd of 40,000 at Stade de France with a chance to win a gold medal.

At the conclusion of the race, Sherman Guity from Costa Rica emerged as the winner, setting a new Paralympic record with a time of 10.65 seconds. The Italian athlete Maxcel Manu, who was the expected winner before the race, came in second place, while the defending champion Felix Streng from Germany earned the bronze medal.

However, despite initially being in the lead at the 60m mark, Peacock ended up falling out of contention and did not acknowledge any of his competitors.

"You guys think these guys are quick, but back in 2017 Jonnie would have easily beaten them," the 31-year-old declared.

I am superior to these individuals. I am competing against myself. It's not that they have outperformed me, I have hindered my own success this year.

Peacock says he still has more to accomplish and is already thinking about competing in the LA 2028 Olympics.

"I can feel it; I still have energy in my body," he said confidently. "I just completed a 60-meter run that I'm really pleased with. Just wait a few more years, I'm not giving up and I'm slowly making my comeback."
