According to a special counsel, Joe Biden, the President of the United States, knowingly kept and revealed confidential information. However, he will not face any charges.

According to the report, Mr. Biden disclosed some confidential information to a writer who helped him write his autobiography.

The special counsel has determined that it would be challenging to prove the president's guilt due to his portrayal as an "aged individual with a weak recollection."

During the years 2022-23, the documents were discovered in both Mr Biden's residence and his past personal workplace.

In the blog post, it was stated that the recent report from the special counsel disclosed previously unknown information regarding the classified documents. Specifically, the documents were designated as Top Secret, the most confidential level of classification, and pertained to military and foreign policy matters related to Afghanistan.

The documents consisted of notebooks that contained Mr. Biden's notes on topics related to national security and foreign policy that might expose critical intelligence sources and methods.

However, according to the report from the Special Counsel of the justice department, Robert Hur, it is stated that there is insufficient evidence to prove Mr Biden's guilt with certainty.

We have analyzed both the negative and positive aspects of the situation, and we have come to the conclusion that there is no valid reason to press charges against Mr Biden.

Biden's Memory Has Major Limits

On Thursday, the White House made an announcement saying that they wouldn't request any redactions, and the 345-page report was then released to the public.

A team of investigators carried out 173 interviews with 147 witnesses, one of whom was President Biden.

According to the report of the investigative team that was appointed for the purpose, the president may not be found guilty of mishandling the documents. This is because, if the matter went to court, Mr. Biden would probably portray himself to the jurors in a positive light during his interview and present himself as a sympathetic and elderly gentleman who may have memory issues.

Convincing a jury to find a former president, who is well beyond his eighties, guilty of a serious crime that demands intentional action would be an uphill battle.

In the blog, it was mentioned that Mr. Biden's memory has some major flaws according to Mr. Hur's report. He was unable to recollect the period of his vice presidency which spanned from 2009 to 2017, along with not being able to remember when his son Beau passed away in 2015, as highlighted in the report.

He seemed to have trouble remembering the details of the Afghanistan discussion, which at one point held significant meaning for him.

At a Democratic retreat in Leesburg, Virginia, Mr. Biden, who is 81 years old, expressed relief that he would not be charged. He declared the matter to be closed.

He claimed that he had worked together with the investigators and blamed Donald Trump for impeding the investigation into his own supposed mismanagement of classified documents. The preceding American commander-in-chief is slated for a criminal trial later this year.

The White House reported that Mr. Biden gave five hours of interviews on October 8th-9th despite dealing with an international crisis at the time, as Israel had been attacked on October 7th.

In the beginning of 2023, US Attorney General Merrick Garland chose Mr. Hur, who had been nominated by Trump, to take charge of the investigation.

White House Condemns Biased Language

The document includes a letter that was sent by Mr. Biden's attorneys, in which they express their dissatisfaction with the special counsel.

White House lawyer Richard Sauber stated that the report's treatment of President Biden's memory is not considered accurate or appropriate.

The article utilizes biased words to portray a common situation among witnesses: the inability to remember events that took place several years ago.

The president's adversaries from the Republican party grabbed onto the findings.

The Republican House leaders issued a joint statement expressing their concerns on Mr. Biden's memory lapses, citing it as the "most disturbing parts".

The Republicans stated that a person who cannot be responsible for mismanaging classified data is not qualified to be the President of the United States.

In a recent announcement, Donald Trump's presidential campaign declared that if an individual is not mentally competent enough to undergo a trial, they are not equipped to be the nation's leader. According to the statement, Joe Biden is not qualified to guide the country.

According to the report, Mr Biden's behavior posed significant dangers to national security, as highly sensitive information could be lost or put in danger of being stolen by adversaries of America.

However, dealing with those dangers by seeking lawful actions, which is the solitary choice present to this agency, is not the appropriate solution in this case.

Biden Recordings Deleted By Ghostwriter

According to the report, Mr. Biden shared confidential information from his personally written notebooks with the ghostwriter for his Promise Me, Dad memoir in 2018.

According to the report, Mark Zwonitzer, who was hired to write for Mr. Biden, erased their audio conversations when he found out about the investigation by the special counsel.

The people responsible for bringing criminal charges against the person who wrote the book decided not to pursue legal action. They came to this decision because they discovered that the individual commonly erased the recordings they made with their clients.

"Biden's Afghan Files Reveal Obama's Flawed Decision"

The Hur report has indicated that there was a significant reason for Mr. Biden to hold onto certain confidential documents - he wished to demonstrate that his former boss, President Barack Obama, was incorrect regarding Afghanistan. This motive was deemed to be quite potent.

His intention was to prove that the decision made by Mr Obama in 2009 to deploy troops in order to fight the Taliban was a blunder that could be compared to the missteps made during the Vietnam War.

The investigation has a new leader, Mr. Hur, who was nominated by Trump and appointed by US Attorney General, Merrick Garland. This occurred earlier this year in 2023.

The investigation started following another examination that was initiated into classified records discovered at Mr Trump's residence in Florida.

Last June, Mr Trump was indicted for seven offenses related to his negligent handling of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach.

He has not admitted to any misdeeds and has consistently maintained that he had the right to keep the documents. His court proceedings are scheduled to commence in May in Miami.

Mr. Biden's aides found some documents in an office he had been using after he left his position as Vice President in 2017. This was before he decided to run for the presidency in 2020.

Mr. Biden's collection of notebooks were also found at his office in Delaware.

In November of 2022, the initial group of confidential records was unearthed at a research institution that he established in Washington DC.

In December 2022, an additional stash of items was discovered next to a spot designated for a canine to rest in the garage of their residence located in Wilmington, Delaware. As per the information revealed by his legal representatives, in January the following year, an extra item was uncovered in a storage unit situated within the same abode.

Following the discovery of the documents, the leader stated that his crew handed them to both the National Archives and the Department of Justice.
