Hollywood icon Joan Collins playfully poked fun at Keir Starmer’s shopping preferences during a segment of Loose Women on Monday, September 23rd.
The prime minister and leader of the Labour Party has faced criticism lately for agreeing to accept donations of high-priced clothes from a well-known and affluent Labour supporter, Lord Waheed Alli.
The items featured a vast amount of clothing worth tens of thousands of pounds for him and his wife, Victoria, along with several pairs of high-end glasses.
At 91 years old, Collins commented on her shopping routine from when she played Alexis Carrington Colby on the show Dynasty.
“Absolutely, I enjoy shopping, so I ended up spending quite a bit of time in Saks and Neiman Marcus,” she shared with Ruth Langsford and the other hosts.
"You'd enter the store and meet a personal shopper who would assist you. You could easily say, 'I want this, that, and the other thing.' It's reminiscent of how our prime minister operates."
The crowd reacted with clear sounds of amusement, with laughter and exclamations of “Oooh” echoing through the venue.
Starmer has committed to rejecting any more clothing donations.
In a discussion about her style on the show, which is one of the most popular in history, Collins mentioned that she held onto much of the costume jewelry worn by her cunning character.
"I can't believe they made me wear such awful hats," she exclaimed.
The actor, who is also a bestselling writer with over 50 million copies sold globally, shared some insider information about what really happens behind the scenes.
"I really admire John James, who portrayed Jeff Colby, as well as Emma Samms, who played my daughter, along with Stephanie Beecham and Kate O'Mara," she shared.

"However, there were a few individuals with whom we didn't quite see eye to eye."
She shared that the job was incredibly challenging, saying, “In essence, it was a constant struggle. We hardly ever took a break, and weekends were entirely devoted to public appearances. I estimate that I completed around 500 magazine covers and layouts during that time.”
Earlier this week, Sir Keir spoke out in defense of accepting complimentary tickets to see his favorite football team, Arsenal. In a conversation with Sky News, he explained, "Security recommendations indicate that sitting in the stands would be expensive for taxpayers, so I've received tickets for a more secure area, which means we won’t need to spend taxpayer money on extra security measures."
