Sam Thompson becomes fifth JLS member in Saturday Night Takeaway performance

During a performance on Ant And Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway, pop group JLS had a surprise cameo appearance by reality TV star Sam Thompson, who joined as their temporary fifth member.

The current winner of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! had already shared his affection for the group. In fact, he even mastered the dance moves to their songs "Everybody In Love" and "She Makes Me Wanna" while he was in the jungle last year with JLS artist Marvin Humes.

Thompson performed on stage with Humes, Merrygold, Williams, and Gill on Saturday evening.

Humes introduced the ex-Made In Chelsea personality to the audience, saying: "Let's give a warm welcome to our current jungle king, Mr Sam Thompson, just for this night."

Thompson took the stage with the popular group made famous through The X Factor. Afterwards, in conversation with Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, he expressed his amazement by saying "If my 17-year-old self could see this, it would be overwhelming."

When questioned about how he felt about being the supreme ruler of the animal kingdom, Thompson responded by saying, "This year has been absolutely phenomenal. It's all thanks to all of you wonderful people out there."

In 2023, Thompson appeared as a famous participant on the popular ITV show and acknowledged that JLS played a significant role in his earlier years.

Following their dance session on the program, Humes acknowledged that Thompson demonstrated talent and remarked: "He's quite skilled." She added, "We are considering organizing a performance tour after our departure from this place."
