Jeremy Allen White is an American actor, best known for his role in the Showtime series Shameless. Born in New York City on February 18, 1991, White grew up in the Brooklyn and Queens boroughs. He began acting at a young age, performing in school productions and later studying at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan.

In 2008, White made his feature film debut in The Speed of Life and went on to appear in several other independent films and television shows before landing his breakthrough role in Shameless. He portrayed Phillip "Lip" Gallagher, the second eldest of the Gallagher siblings, for all 11 seasons of the series. White received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Lip, earning praise for his nuanced depiction of the character's struggles with addiction and responsibility.
