Man Charged With Christmas Day Murders In Court
On Christmas Day, a tragic incident in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, resulted in the deaths of 38-year-old Joanne Pearson and 24-year-old Teohna Grant.
A man charged with the murder of two women in what is believed to be a stabbing incident at an apartment building on Christmas Day has been brought before the court.
Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, were declared deceased at the location on Santa Cruz Avenue in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, following the arrival of the police at 6:36 PM GMT on December 25.
Jazwell Brown, 49, from Santa Cruz Avenue, has appeared in court at High Wycombe, facing two murder charges.
He only provided information to verify his name, age, and address, and he was taken into custody until the next hearing at Luton Crown Court on Tuesday.
Mr. Brown has been accused of attempting to murder Bradley Latter, who is 29, as well as a teenage boy.
The couple was discovered with serious injuries at the location on Christmas Day and was transported to the hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.
Thames Valley Police has reported that a Staffordshire bull terrier, which was first believed to have died in the incident, actually survived.
People have laid flowers and memorial items near the spot where the women were discovered.
Mr. Brown is also facing accusations of having a knife or sharp object in a public location, as well as inflicting unnecessary pain on an animal that is protected by law.
Magistrate Bernard Crossey paused for a moment of silence to honor the victims after the hearing concluded.
The police have stated that they are providing assistance to the families of those affected.
The St. Joseph's Church nearby will open its school hall this Sunday from 4 PM to 7 PM following the recent deaths.
